Installation
Plugins add behavior to the embedded library. Install the core library before selecting plugins.
Included plugins
The current library includes the Reactors plugin.
Plugins are compiled into the library. There are no separate plugin files to install or load at runtime.
The library's plugins operation lists its included plugins and their requirements.
The coming soon list describes prototype features that are not available in this library.
Enable plugins
Use the plugins database option when opening a database.
Selection applies to that database for its lifetime.
| Selection | Result |
|---|---|
Omit plugins | Enable all plugins included in the library |
| Empty list | Enable no plugins |
List of names, such as [reactors] | Enable the selected plugins |
Only included plugins can be selected. Include each selected plugin's required dependencies in the list.
A disabled plugin does not install its database hooks, definition types, or index providers.
Reactor operations report unavailable when the database does not enable reactors.
Custom builds
Plugin inclusion is a build-time choice. An internal plugin registers its hooks through operations.register_plugin during initialization.
Changing database options cannot add a plugin that is absent from the library.
There is no public C ABI for registering external plugin libraries.
